Gertrude married Albert Hipkiss in April-June 1901 at Stourbridge. Albert was born August 24th, 1869 in Stourbridge.
In 1911 Gertrude & Albert were living at the Swan Inn, Mamble Rd, Stourbridge where Albert was the licensed victualler & Gertrude was assisting in the business. They had a 3 year old son, Albert.
The 1939 register shows Gertrude & Albert living at Arkendale, Stourbridge & Albert was retired.
Albert died on March 10th, 1956 at 13a Hagley Rd, Stourbridge, aged 86. Probate was granted to son Albert Henry Hipkiss, estate agent & his estate was valued at £10,233.4s.8d.
Gertrude, of 13a Hagley Rd, Stourbridge, died on May 27th, 1961 at Maloja Nursing Home, Marlpool Lane, Kidderminster, aged 88. Probate was granted to son Albert Henry Hipkiss, estate agent & her estate was valued at £14,002.11s.
